Why Didn’t Sauron Kill Shelob? - Lord of The Rings Explained

Before Shelob, there was Ungoliant. One of the darkest and most mysterious beings in Tolkien’s legendarium, Ungoliant appears seemingly out of nowhere, helps Morgoth destroy the Two Trees of Valinor, devours their light, and becomes so powerful that even Morgoth himself is terrified of her. But what exactly was Ungoliant? Where did she come from? What happened to her after she fled into Middle-earth? And how is she connected to Shelob? In this video, we explore everything Tolkien tells us about Ungoliant, from her mysterious origins and alliance with Morgoth to the destruction of the Two Trees, their confrontation in Lammoth, her descendants in Beleriand, and the strange possibilities surrounding her ultimate fate. #LordOfTheRings #Tolkien #Ungoliant #Silmarillion #MiddleEarth #Shelob Music by Luis Humanoide 2 - Middle Earth (Copyright Free Fantasy Music inspired by Lord of the Rings) check out his channel: https://www.youtube.com/@luishumanoide2
