Dad Pleads Guilty to Raping His Daughter… Then BLAMES HER

David Cleland appears before Judge Culotta for sentencing after pleading guilty to rape and two counts of gross sexual imposition involving three young victims, including his own daughter and two nieces. The prosecution and defense enter court with a joint sentencing recommendation of 14 years to life. Cleland's attorney tells the judge he has shown genuine remorse. Culotta tells Cleland that the sentencing recommendation was premised on him accepting responsibility, and that he failed to do so. The judge imposes life in prison with parole eligibility after 10 years on the rape conviction. On the two gross-sexual-imposition counts, instead of the recommended two years each, Culotta imposes five years each, consecutive to one another and consecutive to the life sentence.
