Archaeologists Unearthed Something in Oklahoma That Doesn't Match What We Know About the Caddo

Flat bottomland, pecan trees, a small town called Spiro nearby. In the middle of a field there's a long, low hill of grass. Stand beside it and it looks like nothing, the kind of rise a farmer would plow around without thinking twice. And for most of the twentieth century, the objects that came out of that hill were the richest collection of ancient art ever found in North America north of Mexico.
