Jacques Hamel: The Priest Who Gave His Life for Christ at the Altar | Modern Catholic Martyr

On July 26, 2016, the world witnessed a heartbreaking attack on the Catholic Church when Father Jacques Hamel, an 85-year-old French priest, was murdered while celebrating the Holy Mass in Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray, France. His unwavering faith, humility, and courage made him a powerful witness to Jesus Christ and a symbol of hope for Christians around the world. In this video, we explore the inspiring life of Father Jacques Hamel—from his childhood vocation and nearly 58 years of faithful priestly ministry to his martyrdom at the altar. We also reflect on what the Catholic Church teaches about martyrdom through the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 2473), the Compendium of the Catechism (CCCC 523), and YOUCAT 112, together with powerful Bible passages that reveal the meaning of remaining faithful to Christ even in times of persecution. This video is a tribute to a humble priest whose life reminds us that love is stronger than hatred, forgiveness is stronger than violence, and Christ's victory over death gives hope to every believer. 📖 Bible Verses Featured John 15:13 Matthew 23:11 Matthew 5:10 2 Timothy 4:7 Revelation 2:10 📚 Catholic Church References Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 2473) Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCCC 523) YOUCAT 112 If this video strengthened your faith, please Like, Share, Subscribe, and press the Notification Bell to receive more inspiring Catholic videos from Journey with Saints. 🙏 May God bless you and strengthen your faith through the witness of modern Catholic martyrs. ::: Hashtags #JacquesHamel #ModernMartyr #CatholicSaints #CatholicFaith #ChristianMartyr #CatholicChurch #HolyMass #Eucharist #Priest #FaithOverFear #Persecution #JesusChrist #ServantOfGod #JourneyWithSaints #CatholicTeaching #CCC2473 #YOUCAT #BibleStudy #ChristianInspiration #France
