Description
Jensen Huang's answer isn't about chips. Build an American company on an American tech stack using American standards, and you can ship it almost anywhere, because the rest of the world already answers in English. He says that doesn't work the same way for China.
The data backs the first half. English is still the content language of 49.3% of the top 10 million websites, far out of proportion to the number of people who speak it.
It's also shrinking. That figure was 55.5% in May 2023 and 49.3% by December 2025.
And the flywheel he's describing is currently being spun hardest by a Chinese lab. Between January and July this year, Alibaba's Qwen produced 151,448 derivative models on Hugging Face, about 2.6 times Meta's entire output, adding roughly 200 new ones a day. Google came second at 82,506.
Hugging Face warns those counts don't measure commercial use or API traffic. Still, developers worldwide are building on a Chinese open stack in numbers nobody expected.
