A steakhouse ribeye runs about $70, and the beef on that plate costs about $14. The rest of the check pays for things you can do at your own stove for about a dollar, and one thing you cannot.
In this video, I break the $70 steakhouse ribeye into six parts and show you how to cook the same kind of steak at home for about $15:
Why thickness comes first, and the two-finger check at the meat case
What you really pay for the beef: Choice at about $14 a pound, Prime at about $22
The dry surface: salt the night before, on a rack, uncovered in the refrigerator
The heat: a smoking cast-iron pan, then the oven, pulled at the USDA 145 degrees with a 3-minute rest
Butter, garlic and rosemary in the last minute, and the cold-plate rest
Dry aging, the one thing the steakhouse really earns, and why I will not teach it from a video
The arithmetic: $55 a steak, about $1,320 a year for two people eating out once a month

This will not give you the tablecloth, the quiet room or somebody else washing the pan, and that is worth something on an anniversary. If you want dry-aged beef, the steakhouse is the right place to buy it. Prices here are examples, about $14 a pound for a Choice ribeye and $70 on the menu; yours will differ.

What did you pay per pound for a ribeye, what town and state are you in, and what does the steakhouse near you charge for one? I read every one of these.
