Description

After the Second World War, the new communist regime in Romania was desperate to assert its control. They saw enemies everywhere, real and potential. And rather than eliminate these enemies, they turned to brutal “Re-education”. The goal was to break prisoners, have them renounce their beliefs, using fellow prisoners to brutalise one another. In today’s video we will look at the disturbing history of the Pitesti Experiment.
