This Is How White House Staff Actually Run The Building

In this video we will dive into the most famous building in the United States, The White House. And we aren’t just gonna talk about the person that lives in it for 4-8 years at a time, but the people that are responsible for keeping the place functioning properly decade after decade, president after president. We will meet the staff of roughly 90-100 butlers, florists playing a bigger role than just coloring up the place, engineers, curators and painters within the Executive Residence and even see the secretive military units that work alongside them. We’re gonna see how the entire house gets cleared out of one first family and prepped for the next one all in the span of about 5 hours. You'll learn what a Department of Defense Inspector General report revealed about the White House Medical Unit, how the Secret Service layers its rings of protection over the complex, what sits inside the rebuilt $50 million Situation Room below the West Wing, and why a military aide follows the president everywhere with a 45-pound satchel known as the nuclear football and no that’s not code for a NFL play.
