A $30K Tank 300, Nearly $15K in Mods… And a Whole New Off Road Setup!

This gasoline-powered GWM Tank 300 arrived fresh from the showroom, but the owner already had a serious off-road build planned. The mission was to transform it into a capable, practical rig without cutting corners on the important details. We started with the front and rear differential gear ratios, carefully adjusting the ring-and-pinion setup before moving on to the suspension. Next came a larger fuel tank, nitrogen-charged shocks, reinforced adjustable sway-bar links, and upgraded suspension components designed to work with the added ride height. The transformation continued with aftermarket bumpers, a winch, upgraded headlights, A-pillar auxiliary lights, a spare-tire carrier, larger wheels and tires, and a complete camping setup featuring a roof platform, ladder, and 270-degree awning. Every wire was protected, the chassis fasteners were retorqued, and the truck received a four-wheel alignment, wheel balancing, and road testing. The crew even worked until 5 AM to get it ready.
