Description

Summer in Japan is hot and humid ☀️💦 — but instead of relying on air conditioning all day, my family has small habits that help us stay cool. In this life in Japan vlog, I'm sharing 7 simple summer habits from our home in Japan. If you enjoy quiet, real-life vlogs from Japan, I'd love for you to subscribe and join me for the next one. Let me know in the comments — How do you stay cool during hot weather where you live?😊 🍳 Recipe Somen Noodles (Serves 2) Ingredients * 200 g somen noodles * Tsuyu (Japanese noodle dipping sauce) * Your favorite toppings:Shiso leaves, myoga (Japanese ginger), green onions, grated ginger, pickled plum (umeboshi), toasted sesame seeds * Optional summer vegetables:Cucumber, cherry tomatoes, or any vegetables you like Instructions 1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the somen noodles for about 2 minutes. 2. Drain the noodles and rinse them several times under cold running water. For an extra-refreshing texture, chill them in ice water. 3. Divide the noodles between serving plates or bowls and prepare the tsuyu according to the package directions. 4. Thinly slice the shiso leaves, myoga, and cucumber. Grate the ginger, finely chop the green onions, and mash the umeboshi with a knife. 5.Enjoy with your favorite toppings and stay cool this summer! 🌿 #JapanVlog #LifeInJapan #JapaneseSummer #SimpleHabits
