Ford Transit Van Life Repairs | Plumbing Leak + Shower Floor Rebuild

Winter travel is getting closer, which means it’s time to get our Ford Transit camper van ready for another season on the road! In this episode, we’re back working on our 2023 Ford Transit extended-length, high-roof camper van as we tackle a couple of important repairs before our winter van life travels begin. Our first problem is a plumbing leak underneath the water manifold. A leak inside a camper van is definitely something you don’t want to ignore, so we track down the problem, make the repair, and get the plumbing system back in shape. But that’s only the beginning. We also start tearing into the shower area as we begin the process of replacing the shower floor and the floorboards underneath it. What started as another maintenance project quickly turns into some serious camper van repair work. Our Ford Transit is a 2023 gunmetal gray extended-length, high-roof Transit that we converted for traveling, camping and extended road trips. Before we head out for our winter adventures, we want to make sure the plumbing, shower and other systems are ready for life on the road.
