A few weeks ago, Lieutenant Herbert Mabonga Matanda came out with videos and documents alleging that the Museveni government operates secret torture dungeons where political opponents are abducted, detained and tortured. He named places, released footage and made serious allegations about what happens to people who fall into the hands of Uganda’s security agencies. Now, since yesterday, reports have emerged that Matanda has fled Uganda and is in Germany. So, where is he right now? Why did he leave, and what does he know that Ugandans need to hear? I have managed to get him on the show, and I intend to ask him some straight questions. First, Lieutenant Matanda, where are you right now? Are you in Germany, as reported? And did you leave Uganda because you feared for your life?
