Description

This soft and airy air fryer apple cake is made with caramelized apples, cinnamon and a simple fluffy batter. The apples become buttery and sweet, while the cake turns golden and melts in your mouth. Ingredients 🍎 250 g (8.8 oz) sweet apples 🌿 Cinnamon 🍬 20 g (0.7 oz) sugar 🧈 60 g (2.1 oz) butter 🥚 4 eggs 🧂 3 g (0.1 oz) salt 🍬 200 g (7 oz) sugar 🌾 200 g (7 oz) flour 🍚 Powdered sugar Recipe Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper. Cut the apples into pieces and spread 250 g (8.8 oz) evenly over the parchment. Sprinkle with cinnamon and 20 g (0.7 oz) sugar, then mix. Add 60 g (2.1 oz) cubed butter over the apples. Cook the apples in the air fryer for 20 minutes at 170°C / 340°F. For the batter, crack 4 eggs into a deep bowl. Add 3 g salt and whisk. Add 200 g sugar and beat with a mixer for 5–7 minutes until light and fluffy. Sift in 200 g flour and gently fold it into the mixture with a silicone spatula, working from the bottom upward. The batter should be airy and smooth. Pour the batter over the baked apples. Cook for 25 minutes at 160°C / 320°F. If your air fryer has only one heating element on top, carefully flip the cake and cook the other side for another 10 minutes at 175°C / 350°F. Remove the finished apple cake from the air fryer, dust with powdered sugar and serve.
