Description

Mobile Chicken Coop Saves Feed Instead of relying entirely on commercial chicken feed, a poultry farmer brings his entire flock to fresh pastures where they can find food naturally. He uses a mobile chicken trailer pulled by a small tractor. The trailer has multiple levels for housing the birds, along with large mesh panels that fold outward. Once he reaches a suitable field, he opens the panels, allowing hundreds of chickens to fly out and start foraging. The chickens search for insects, seeds, grass, and other natural food sources, helping reduce their feed costs. This method is called rotational grazing. By moving the trailer between different pastures, the farmer gives his flock access to fresh forage while allowing previously used land to recover. Chicken droppings also add nutrients to the soil, acting as natural fertilizer. Although the birds still need balanced supplemental feed, this system helps farmers make better use of available pasture. #chickenfarming #poultryfarming #mobilecoop #rotationalgrazing #pasturefarming
