Today's Catholic Mass Readings — Tuesday, October 20, 2026 | Gospel Reflection

Daily Mass Readings and Gospel Reflection for Tuesday, October 20, 2026 | Tuesday of the Twenty-Ninth Week in Ordinary Time. In today’s Gospel, Jesus calls His disciples to keep their lamps burning and remain ready for the return of their Master. This reflection invites us to understand Christian watchfulness not as fear of the future, but as faithful living in the present, sustained by love, hope, and trust in Christ. The Lord reveals a beautiful promise: the Master Himself will welcome His faithful servants to the table and serve them. In the light of Saint Paul’s teaching in Ephesians, we are reminded that through Christ’s saving sacrifice, we are no longer strangers but members of God’s household, united in one Body with Christ as our cornerstone. Nourished by the Word of God and the Eucharist, we are called to remain faithful, respond to grace without delay, and await the Lord with joyful hope. ► Full Gospel listening: https://youtu.be/sLweLH9WaLk ► Timestamps: 00:00 Preface 00:21 First Reading 02:00 Gospel Reading 02:38 Gospel Reflection 19:45 Prayer 21:03 Closing Message 🕊️ May the Word of God guide your steps today.
