Today's Catholic Mass Readings — Saturday, October 17, 2026 | Gospel Reflection

Daily Mass Readings and Gospel Reflection for Saturday, October 17, 2026 | Memorial of Saint Ignatius of Antioch, Bishop and Martyr. In today’s Gospel, Jesus calls His disciples to acknowledge Him before others, remain open to the Holy Spirit, and stay faithful when witness brings opposition or trial. This reflection explains that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is not an accidental word beyond God’s mercy, but the persistent refusal of grace, repentance, and forgiveness. In the light of Saint Paul’s prayer in Ephesians and the witness of Saint Ignatius of Antioch, we are reminded that Christian courage comes from the Holy Spirit, from communion with Christ and His Church, and from hope in the power of the Resurrection. ► Full Gospel listening: https://youtu.be/sLweLH9WaLk ► Timestamps: 00:00 Preface 00:23 First Reading 01:47 Gospel Reading 02:34 Gospel Reflection 18:30 Prayer 19:50 Closing 🕊️ May the Word of God guide your steps today.
