Description

There are two ways to get a bigger monthly income out of CPF. Earn more and hand over more, or take the money you already have and arrange it better. This is the second one. No extra risk, no market, no clever product. Just the published rules, used properly. Five levers in this video: deferring your start date, which CPF says adds up to 7% a year and about $600 a month in their own example; moving money earlier rather than moving more of it, worth about $48,400 on the same $110,000; getting money out of the 2.5% account into the 4% one; claiming matched money before you climb past the Basic Retirement Sum; and fixing the imbalance between two accounts in a household. Plus the order to pull them in, and the one choice that is not a lever at all. Match first, balance second, move slow money third. And do it early, in slices. The compounding figures apply the 2.5% Ordinary Account and 4% Retirement Account floor rates and are worked examples, not CPF projections. Retirement sums and payouts are CPF figures for members turning 55 in 2026 on the Standard Plan from 65.
