Description

📗 Save $2,000 A Year On Whiskey With My Distiller Methods: https://wadecooperdistiller.com You paid 69 dollars and 99 cents for the gold one, off a wall of eight Johnnie Walker bottles that runs from red to blue like a paint chart. Gold is first place, so it looked like a step up from the black one. It is not a step up. Two lines on the front of every bottle of Scotch are written by the law: the category line and the age. Everything else on that glass is somebody's choice. In this video I walk the wall from the cheap end to the dear end, one color at a time, with a rule for each one you can use without me. And within reach of your hand, on that same wall, there is a bottle with a number on the front that costs 2 dollars less than the gold one. I skip it on purpose and come back for it after the blue box. I spent 34 years in the industry, and a great many of the bourbon barrels I filled crossed the ocean to hold somebody's Scotch. The prices come off the Pennsylvania state store shelves, so you can check them yourself. Nobody paid me to make this. Your homework: count the bottles on the wall, count the numbers, read the category line on each one, and find the one that says malt. Pour an inch of it next to the Scotch you already own, put a saucer over each glass for fifteen minutes, and smell them again. Then tell me in the comments what town you are in and what the green bottle and the gold bottle cost at your store this week. CHAPTERS: 00:00 – A gold bottle on a wall of eight colors 01:07 – Not your fault: the wall is a ladder of price 01:50 – In 1909 every color stood for an age 02:52 – The wall in twenty minutes 03:29 – Who I am: my bourbon barrels went to Scotland 05:12 – The two lines the law writes on the front 07:21 – What I mean by wrong 07:59 – Hoyt reads the 18 out loud 08:56 – The gold bottle lost its number 09:47 – One bottle is not a guide, and the one I skip 10:16 – Number one: the red one, in a tall glass 11:17 – Number two: the black one with the 12 12:08 – Number three: the two blacks without a 12 13:10 – Number four: the 18, read the number out loud 14:06 – Number five: the blue box 15:03 – The bottle I skipped: the green one with a 15 16:30 – How to buy it tomorrow 17:09 – The limits of all this, and nobody paid me 18:36 – Why that wall has not moved 20:17 – Your homework: two glasses and two saucers 21:33 – Tell me your town and your two prices #scotch #johnniewalker #greenlabel #goldlabel #blendedscotch #blendedmalt #distiller #whiskeytips #scotchwhisky #homebar
