What Most Likely Happened to the Congressman's Mistress Found in the Park

In 2001, a 24-year-old intern vanished from her Washington DC apartment. Her running shoes were still in the closet. Her keys were gone. Within weeks, Chandra Levy's name was tied to a sitting congressman, and the whole country decided it knew what had happened. Then a man walking his dog in Rock Creek Park found something that changed everything. A suspect was convicted. Then he wasn't. Twenty-five years later, the case is officially open again. In this episode we go back through the timeline, the police mistakes, the media frenzy, and the three explanations that still compete. Then we lay out what most likely happened to Chandra Levy.
