Description

In October 2004, a house on North Sixth Street in Philadelphia was set on fire in the middle of the night. Six people died, including four children. They were the family of a federal witness — and the order came from a jail cell. This documentary tells the story of Kaboni Savage, the North Philadelphia drug kingpin who ran a violent cocaine organization and used murder to silence anyone who might testify against him. We follow how his crew operated, the campaign of witness retaliation, and the federal case that ended with one of the longest lists of death sentences ever handed down in a single trial. Using court records, trial testimony and contemporary reporting, we lay out what happened and how prosecutors finally brought him down.
