This morning devotional walks through Psalm 51 in three movements. First, starting over begins with telling God the whole truth, the moment Nathan said "You are the man" and David stopped hiding (Psalm 51:3-4, Psalm 32:3-4, Proverbs 28:13, 1 John 1:9). Second, God creates a new heart instead of repairing the old one, and the word David chose in verse 10 is the same word used in Genesis 1:1 (Psalm 51:10, Ezekiel 36:26, Isaiah 1:18), with the story of King Manasseh, the king nobody thought could come back (2 Chronicles 33:12-13). Third, a restored heart always gives something back (Psalm 51:13, Psalm 51:17), seen in the woman with the alabaster flask (Luke 7:47-50) and in the God who restores the years the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). Stay to the end for a blessed prayer over your fresh start, your family, your finances, your healing and your breakthrough, in the mighty name of Jesus. 🙏 If this prayer blessed you, comment "AMEN" and share it with someone who needs to start over with God. 🔔 Subscribe and turn on notifications so you never miss a morning prayer. 📖 CHAPTERS 0:00 The Scribes Who Scraped the Page: Why God Makes the Heart New 0:47 Inside Psalm 51: The Most Honest Prayer Ever Written 1:29 When the Old Ink Keeps Showing (Isaiah 43:25) 2:45 Truth 1: Starting Over Begins With the Whole Truth 4:18 Nathan's Four Words: "You Are the Man" (2 Samuel 12) 5:18 Against You Only: David's Confession (Psalm 51:3-4) 6:19 Partial Confession, Partial Freedom (Psalm 32:3-4) 7:36 Covering vs. Confessing (Proverbs 28:13) 9:13 Faithful, Just and Cleansing (1 John 1:9) 10:13 Truth 2: God Creates a New Heart, He Does Not Repair the Old One 10:36 The Hidden Hebrew Word in Psalm 51:10 (Genesis 1:1) 12:13 A Heart of Stone Made Flesh (Ezekiel 36:26) 12:50 Manasseh: The Worst King Who Started Over (2 Chronicles 33:12-13) 15:03 A Clean Heart and a Steadfast Spirit 15:47 White as Snow: The Stain God Specializes In (Isaiah 1:18) 16:48 Truth 3: A Restored Heart Always Gives Something Back (Psalm 51:13) 18:19 A Broken and Contrite Heart (Psalm 51:17) 19:34 The Woman With the Alabaster Flask (Luke 7:47-50) 21:52 God Restores the Locust Years (Joel 2:25) 23:24 The Road Back to God Is Shorter Than You Think 24:08 Prayer of Confession: Create in Me a Clean Heart 26:40 Prayer for a Fresh Start, Provision and Open Doors 31:39 Praying in Agreement: Standing Together This Morning 33:07 Final Blessing and Prayer Requests Scriptures in this prayer (NKJV): Isaiah 43:25 • Psalm 51:3-4 • Psalm 32:3-4 • Proverbs 28:13 • 1 John 1:9 • Psalm 51:10 • Genesis 1:1 • Ezekiel 36:26 • 2 Chronicles 33:12-13 • Isaiah 1:18 • Psalm 51:13 • Psalm 51:17 • Luke 7:47 • Luke 7:50 • Joel 2:25 #Psalm51 #MorningPrayer #NewBeginning
