Description

A loaded freight train at 55 mph needs about a mile to stop, so a crossing warns drivers with flashing lights, a bell and a gate arm across their lane. Some drivers swerve into the other lane to go around the gate. Four-quadrant gates add a second gate on the far side of each lane, and a raised curb down the middle of the road keeps cars from crossing over to get around. This is a 3D illustration, partly in slow motion. The car in the crash is empty, and the crash is simplified. #Shorts #Trains #RoadSafety
