Description
There’s something special about a big pot of chili simmering on the back porch, especially when you put a little twist on an old favorite.
Today we’re making our Rustic Bison Chili, using ground bison and breakfast sausage, then building layers of flavor with fire-roasted tomatoes, fire-roasted tomato sauce, roasted bell peppers, onions, and chili beans.
The combination of bison and breakfast sausage gives this chili a rich, hearty flavor, while the fire-roasted tomatoes and peppers add just the right amount of smokiness. It’s rustic, comforting, and the kind of chili that’s perfect for a cool evening and a hungry crowd.
This one definitely has that old-fashioned, country-kitchen kind of comfort we love here on the Back Porch.
So grab yourself a bowl, pull up a chair, and come on out to the Back Porch for some good food and a little reminiscing.
