Description

A morning prayer for strength on the day you feel like quitting. Elijah had just seen fire fall on Mount Carmel, and one day later he sat under a broom tree and asked God to end it. What God did next was not a rebuke. ► LIKE! 👍 ► COMMENT! 💬 ► SHARE! ➤ ► SUBSCRIBE! 👉 https://www.youtube.com/@DailyJesusDevotional?sub_confirmation=1 ► TURN ON THE NOTIFICATION BELL! 🔔 ► FREE NEWSLETTER 👉 https://dailyjesusdevotional.beehiiv.com/ ► OUR NEW PRAYER CHANNEL 👉 https://www.youtube.com/@DailyJesusPrayers?sub_confirmation=1 If you are led to support our ministry, you may do so here: ► DONATIONS 👉 https://www.buymeacoffee.com/dailyjesusdevotional We appreciate your support! At large fires, crews set up a rehab station a short distance from the flames, and exhausted firefighters are pulled off the line for water, food and rest. No one calls them weak. That is how God handled His worn-out prophet. He did not send a sermon. He sent sleep, and then He sent breakfast, and an angel came back a second time to say the journey was too great for him. This morning devotional walks through three truths. First, God restored Elijah's strength before He corrected him, the same way Jesus cooked breakfast for Peter on the shore before He spoke about his calling (1 Kings 19:4-8, Psalm 103:13-14, Psalm 127:2, John 21:9). Second, God spoke to a weary Elijah in a still small voice, not in the wind, the earthquake or the fire, and He noticed one tired scribe named Baruch in the middle of a collapsing nation (1 Kings 19:11-12, Isaiah 42:3, Jeremiah 45:3). Third, God answered Elijah's despair with an assignment, a companion and the truth about the 7,000 he could not see, the same lesson Jethro gave Moses when the work was too much for one man (1 Kings 19:18, Exodus 18:17-18, Galatians 6:9). Along the way you will hear the question God asked twice, the answer Elijah gave twice, and the detail about how his life finally ended that most people read straight past. Stay to the end for a blessed prayer over your strength, your family, your finances, your healing and your breakthrough, in the mighty name of Jesus. This is a prayer of faith offered as spiritual encouragement. If you are struggling with your mental health, please also speak to your doctor or a professional you trust — prayer and care belong together. 🙏 If this prayer blessed you, comment "ARISE AND EAT" and share it with someone who is worn out this week. 🔔 Subscribe and turn on notifications so you never miss a morning prayer. ⏱️ CHAPTERS 0:00 The Rehab Station — Why Exhausted Firefighters Are Pulled Off the Line 0:20 How God Treats His Weary Servants 0:37 Elijah After the Fire Fell on Mount Carmel 0:52 It Is Enough — Elijah Under the Broom Tree (1 Kings 19:4) 1:31 Maybe You Woke Up Tired Before the Day Began 2:06 The Question God Asked Elijah Twice 2:32 What This Morning Prayer Will Reveal 2:55 Truth 1 — God Restored Elijah's Strength Before Correcting Him 3:15 He Sent Sleep, Then He Sent Breakfast (1 Kings 19:5-6) 4:21 He Knows Our Frame, He Remembers We Are Dust (Psalm 103:13-14) 5:14 Arise and Eat, the Journey Is Too Great for You (1 Kings 19:7) 6:25 One Meal Carried Him Forty Days (1 Kings 19:8) 7:00 He Gives His Beloved Sleep (Psalm 127:2) 7:29 Peter Went Fishing After the Denial (John 21:3) 8:05 Jesus Cooked Breakfast Before the Hard Conversation (John 21:9) 9:05 Receive the Rest He Is Offering You This Morning 9:59 Truth 2 — God Spoke to a Weary Elijah in a Still Small Voice 10:16 Not in the Wind, the Earthquake or the Fire (1 Kings 19:11-12) 11:25 Why God Lowers His Voice When You Are Worn Out 12:21 A Bruised Reed He Will Not Break (Isaiah 42:3) 13:05 Baruch — The Scribe Who Could Not Go On 13:47 I Fainted in My Sighing and Find No Rest (Jeremiah 45:3) 15:11 How to Hear the Still Small Voice When You Are Exhausted 16:12 Truth 3 — God Answered Despair With an Assignment 16:47 The Same Question, the Same Answer, Twice (1 Kings 19:13-14) 17:23 Three Gifts God Gave Elijah Instead of a Lecture 17:58 Yet I Have Reserved Seven Thousand in Israel (1 Kings 19:18) 19:11 Moses and the Work That Was Too Much for One Man 19:30 You Are Not Able to Perform It by Yourself (Exodus 18:17-18) 21:07 The Man Who Asked to Die Never Tasted Death (2 Kings 2:11) 21:43 In Due Season We Shall Reap (Galatians 6:9) 22:31 Rise Up and Eat — Strength for the Road Ahead 23:11 A Blessed Prayer for Strength Begins 30:54 Praying in Agreement — Standing Together This Morning 32:09 Amen — Type Amen if This Prayer Blessed You Scriptures in this prayer (NKJV): 1 Kings 19:4 • Psalm 103:13-14 • 1 Kings 19:7 • Psalm 127:2 • John 21:9 • 1 Kings 19:11-12 • Isaiah 42:3 • Jeremiah 45:3 • 1 Kings 19:18 • Exodus 18:17-18 • Galatians 6:9 #MorningPrayer #Elijah #DailyJesusDevotional
