Description
📗 Save $2,000 A Year On Whiskey With My Distiller Methods: https://wadecooperdistiller.com
64 dollars and 98 cents for two bottles of Woodford Reserve on the belt at Costco. About eight feet down that same aisle, on the bottom shelf, there is the same whiskey in a bigger bottle, same distillery, same recipe, same proof, same label, 1.75 liters for 46 dollars and 99 cents. That is a quarter liter more whiskey for 17 dollars and 99 cents less. Nobody tricked you. You bought the right whiskey in the wrong glass.
I spent 34 years in the industry, and about six of them on the bottling end, where a man learns what every piece of a bottle costs, down to the cork. So first, what you are really paying for when you pay by the bottle: the tax is the same by the ounce, but the glass, the cap, the label and the case are not, and every markup lands on the glass too.
Then the five moves I make every single time I buy whiskey at Costco, cheapest first: divide before you decide, buy the handle of the bottle you already finish, read the last two digits of the price, pay the sticker and nothing more on the bottle everybody is hunting, and check the card in your wallet. Then the one thing that works against all five, and what Hoyt did about it. Then the gold circle on the neck of the bottles next to yours, and what it does and does not tell you.
The title says 60 dollars. The real arithmetic on my trip is 57 dollars and 64 cents, and I show you every number.
Your homework costs nothing: five minutes in the aisle with nothing in the cart, a calculator, and the three whiskeys you actually drink. Then tell me in the comments what town you are in and what a 1.75 of Maker's Mark costs at your Costco this week.
Nobody paid me to make this video. There is no link, no bottle with my name on it, and nothing to buy at the end of this.
