ONE UNFINISHED RIVALRY. A BRUTAL REVENGE WAITING TO HAPPEN. In the unforgiving world of ONE Championship, reputations can be built with a single knockout and shattered in just nine minutes. When Malaysian-American teenage sensation Johan "Jojo" Ghazali stepped into the legendary Lumpinee Stadium to face Colombian-American striker Diego Paez, the stage seemed perfectly set for another explosive chapter in the young star's remarkable rise. But Diego Paez had other plans. At just 18 years old, Ghazali had already established himself as one of the most exciting young knockout artists in ONE Championship. With five spectacular knockout victories under his belt, devastating punching combinations, relentless aggression, and the confidence of a born fighter, "Jojo" had captured the attention of combat sports fans around the world. His fearless fighting style had become his trademark. He didn't enter the ring to survive. He entered to impose his will, break his opponents' resistance, and deliver the kind of spectacular performances that turn promising youngsters into global superstars. Standing across from him was a very different kind of danger. Diego Paez, a seasoned Colombian-American striker representing Classic Fight Team, brought something that raw power alone couldn't guarantee: experience, exceptional timing, intelligent movement, and an unpredictable arsenal of counterattacks. After suffering a narrow split-decision defeat against Sean Climaco in his ONE Championship debut, Paez arrived determined to prove that he belonged among the division's most dangerous competitors. He wasn't intimidated by Ghazali's reputation, his explosive knockout power, or the growing excitement surrounding the teenage phenomenon. And when these two warriors finally collided, the contrast in their fighting styles produced something extraordinary. Ghazali's relentless forward pressure met Paez's elusive footwork and sharp counterstriking. Heavy combinations collided with clever angles, spinning attacks, and perfectly timed responses. Every exchange carried danger, every second demanded concentration, and neither fighter seemed willing to surrender an inch. This wasn't simply a battle between youth and experience. It was a collision between explosive aggression and calculated precision, between a rising knockout sensation determined to continue his ascent and a battle-hardened underdog desperate to prove the doubters wrong. And what unfolded inside Lumpinee Stadium would change the story of both fighters. But that unforgettable first encounter was only the beginning. On October 16, 2026, Johan Ghazali and Diego Paez will meet again at The Inner Circle 35, returning to the same legendary arena where their rivalry began. For Ghazali, this rematch represents an opportunity to settle unfinished business. Now 19 years old and sharpened by valuable experience at Superbon Training Camp, the young Malaysian-American believes he has evolved into a faster, smarter, and more complete fighter. He has studied their first encounter, identified the mistakes he believes cost him dearly, and made it clear that revenge is firmly on his mind. But Paez has absolutely no intention of becoming a stepping stone in Ghazali's comeback story. The Colombian-American veteran believes he can produce an even more convincing performance this time. Tired of close decisions and determined to leave no room for debate, Paez has openly expressed his confidence that he can finish the young knockout artist. One fighter wants redemption. The other wants to prove that the first meeting was no accident. Before these fierce rivals step into the ring for their highly anticipated rematch, relive the explosive first encounter that started it all.
