Jena Bishop vs Liz Carmouche | BRUTAL REVENGE as AMERICAN SWEETHEART Shocks MMA MONSTER

🥊 Fight: Jena Bishop vs Liz Carmouche II 📅 Date: October 16, 2026 📍 Venue: Wintrust Arena, Chicago, Illinois, USA 🏆 Bout: Inaugural PFL Women's Flyweight World Championship (125 lbs) Some defeats leave a mark. Others ignite a fire that refuses to go out. In August 2025, Jena Bishop and Liz Carmouche collided in the PFL Women's Flyweight World Tournament Final in Charlotte, North Carolina. Bishop brought her world-class Brazilian jiu-jitsu into the cage and came dangerously close to finishing the veteran with an armbar and a triangle choke. But against a fighter as relentless as Carmouche, one opportunity can change everything. The contest ended in the third round, leaving Bishop with a painful defeat and a question only a rematch could answer. Now the stakes are even bigger. On October 16, 2026, the two Americans meet again in the main event of PFL Chicago. This time, they aren't fighting for a tournament trophy. They are fighting for the vacant championship and the right to become the FIRST PFL Women's Flyweight World Champion in history. On one side stands JENA BISHOP — the AMERICAN SWEETHEART with a submission game that is anything but sweet. A Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, former IBJJF No-Gi World Champion and ADCC competitor, Bishop is the kind of fighter who can turn the smallest mistake into a nightmare. After losing to Carmouche, she didn't disappear. She rebuilt her momentum with two explosive first-round submission victories in 2026, choking out Borena Tsertsvadze and submitting Ariane Lipski da Silva by armbar. The message was unmistakable: the woman returning for this rematch is not the same woman who left Charlotte disappointed. Across the cage waits LIZ CARMOUCHE — a battle-tested MMA MONSTER who has spent years proving that experience, pressure and physical toughness can break even the most dangerous opponents. A former U.S. Marine, a pioneer who competed in the UFC's first women's bout, a former Bellator flyweight world champion and the winner of the 2025 PFL Women's Flyweight World Tournament, Carmouche has built her career on relentless wrestling, punishing control and the determination to survive whatever comes her way. She enters this showdown after submitting Viviane Araujo with a guillotine choke. And this rematch almost became a story before either fighter entered the cage. During the weigh-in, Carmouche even shaved her head to shed the final fraction of weight and hit the 125-pound championship limit. That is how far she was willing to go for another shot at gold. But there is something no championship résumé can guarantee: victory over an opponent who knows exactly what it feels like to lose to you. For Bishop, this is personal redemption and a chance to write her name into PFL history. For Carmouche, it's a chance to prove the first meeting was no accident and that the veteran still rules the flyweight division. Two elite grapplers. Two very different journeys. One unfinished rivalry.
