Description
The knife slips. The tip of your finger is gone. In the morning, you unwrap the bandage and a brand new fingertip is waiting.
One rule: any body part you lose grows back from what is left. A fingertip takes one day, a finger three days, a hand one week, a leg three weeks. Teeth, earlobes, toes, even your appendix come back. But you still feel every cut, the old piece never sticks back on, a new hand writes like a seven-year-old's for a week, the regrowth burns a mountain of fuel, and nobody will test the heart, the brain or the head.
Then a biotech boss offers you twenty million dollars a year for your spare parts, a guitar workshop accident takes your best friend's hand, and the only matching hand in the world is yours. A donor hand has to be a match. Yours is. Anyone can lose a hand. Only you can lend one.
💬 What would YOU regrow, and what would you do with a body that rebuilds anything? Tell us in the comments.

This is a fictional "what if" story: the regrowth rule, the regrowth times (1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 3 weeks), Dr. Ross, Sam, Vale Biotech, the workshop accident and the hand transplant between friends are made up. The fuel costs ("a hand costs twenty dinners, a leg sixty") are the story's own estimate, not measured numbers. Real hand transplants need a careful match and lifelong anti-rejection medicine. Please don't test your limits at home, see a real doctor for real injuries, and if you can, register as an organ donor.
