Why Maresca's City is SCARIER than you think...

Manchester City just put four past Crystal Palace away from home. Elliot Anderson is still building fitness. Bouaddi came off the bench. Half the squad has been together less than two months. This is Manchester City at 60%. They lost Guardiola, Rodri, Bernardo Silva and John Stones in one summer — open-heart surgery on the most successful squad in Premier League history. Then they spent £200 million and somehow look stronger. This is why Enzo Maresca's City are scarier than you think. Anderson filling Rodri's hole, an 18-year-old World Cup starter in Bouaddi, Haaland still the most prolific striker English football has seen — and Rayan Cherki playing like the best number ten in the league. Maresca won the Championship at the first attempt with Leicester. He won a Conference League and a Club World Cup at Chelsea. He knows how to build machines. By the time England figures out what he's building, it'll already be too late.
