I Watched 5,000 minutes of Xabi Alonso's Systems — Here’s the TRUTH

I watched 5,000 minutes of Xabi Alonso's football — Leverkusen, Real Madrid, Chelsea. Here's what I found. Everyone's asking whether it's working at Stamford Bridge. That's the wrong question. Because the pattern shows up in every game he coaches, regardless of the scoreline. The formation was never the code. At Leverkusen he lined up the same way every week and morphed it five or six times a game. The actual code is simpler: numerical superiority in midfield, vertical passes to break lines, third-man runs into the chaos that follows. It produced 51 games unbeaten and the first undefeated Bundesliga season in history. That code is already at Chelsea. João Pedro's 31-second goal against Fulham was the exact Leverkusen pattern. The attacking structure is there. The defensive discipline isn't — yet. The real question isn't the system. It's whether Chelsea can hold still long enough to let it take root.
