Judith Chapter 6 | Achior Warns Holofernes | Bible Stories Media Network Holofernes is furious. After hearing that the people of Israel have fortified their mountain passes and placed their hope in God, the Ammonite commander Achior warns Holofernes about the Israelites and their history. Achior explains that Israel's God has protected His people whenever they remained faithful to Him. But when they turned away from their God, they were defeated and taken into captivity. His warning is simple: if Israel has not sinned against their God, they may be impossible to defeat. Holofernes and his commanders refuse to listen. They mock the idea that Israel's God could protect them and decide that Achior should be handed over to the Israelites at Bethulia. They intend for him to share their fate when the city falls. Achior is taken to Bethulia, tied up, and left near the mountain. But the people of Bethulia find him. When Achior tells them everything that happened, the people bring him into the city and hear his warning. The elders receive him, and Achior remains with the Israelites as the Assyrian army prepares for what is coming. The enemy believes Israel is already defeated. But they have underestimated the God in whom Israel has placed its hope. 📖 Judith Chapter 6 THE BIBLE STORIES MEDIA NETWORK @enjoybiblestories #Judith6 #Judith #BookOfJudith #BibleStories #BibleShorts #BibleStudy #BibleExplained #Achior #Holofernes #Bethulia #AssyrianArmy #Israel #Judea #DeuterocanonicalBooks #Christian #Scripture #BiblicalHistory #Faith #EnjoyBibleStories Judith Chapter 6, Judith 6 explained, Judith chapter 6 Bible story, Book of Judith, Book of Judith explained, Judith Bible story, Judith Bible Shorts, Achior, Achior Bible story, Achior and Holofernes, Holofernes, Holofernes commanders, Bethulia, Israelites in Bethulia, Assyrian army, Assyrian commander, Israel's God, Israelites faith, Achior warns Holofernes, Holofernes rejects Achior, Achior tied up, Judith Bible study, Deuterocanonical books, Deuterocanonical Bible, Catholic Bible stories, biblical history, Old Testament Bible stories, Bible stories, Bible Shorts, Christian Bible stories, Scripture, faith in God, THE BIBLE STORIES MEDIA NETWORK, Enjoy Bible Stories
