Esther Chapter 5 | Esther Approaches the King and Haman's Pride | Bible Stories Media Network Esther Chapter 5 begins with a moment that could cost Esther her life. After three days of fasting, Esther puts on her royal robes and stands in the inner court of the palace, directly across from the king's throne. King Ahasuerus sees her. But instead of ordering her death, he extends the golden scepter. Esther approaches and touches it. The king asks what she wants, promising to grant her request—even up to half of his kingdom. But Esther does not reveal her request immediately. She invites the king and Haman to a banquet she has prepared. At the banquet, the king again asks Esther what she desires. Esther invites them to another banquet the following day, promising to reveal her request then. Haman leaves the palace delighted. But everything changes when he sees Mordecai sitting at the king's gate and refusing to bow. Haman is filled with anger. At home, he boasts to his wife and friends about his wealth, his many sons, his high position, and his special invitation to Esther's banquets. Yet Mordecai still troubles him. His wife Zeresh and his friends suggest a terrifying solution: build a towering gallows and ask the king to have Mordecai hanged on it. Haman loves the idea. The gallows are prepared. But Haman does not know that the night ahead is about to turn his entire plan upside down. 📖 Esther Chapter 5 THE BIBLE STORIES MEDIA NETWORK @enjoybiblestories #Esther5 #Esther #BookOfEsther #QueenEsther #Haman #Mordecai #EstherBibleStory #BibleStories #BibleShorts #BibleStudy #BibleExplained #PersianEmpire #EstherAndHaman #EstherAndMordecai #BiblicalHistory #DeuterocanonicalBooks #CatholicBible #Christian #Scripture #Faith #Courage #EnjoyBibleStories Esther Chapter 5, Esther 5 explained, Esther chapter 5 Bible story, Book of Esther, Esther Bible story, Esther Bible Shorts, Queen Esther approaches the king, Esther golden scepter, Esther banquet, Esther and Haman banquet, Esther invites Haman, Esther invites the king, Haman and Mordecai, Haman hates Mordecai, Haman's pride, Haman's plot against Mordecai, Haman builds gallows, Zeresh, Mordecai refuses to bow, King Ahasuerus, Persian Empire, Esther Bible study, Book of Esther explained, biblical history, Deuterocanonical books, Deuterocanonical Bible, Catholic Bible stories, Old Testament Bible stories, Bible stories, Bible Shorts, Christian Bible stories, Scripture, women of the Bible, faith and courage, THE BIBLE STORIES MEDIA NETWORK, Enjoy Bible Stories
