Everyone knows the feeling. You are the last one in the building. The lights hum. The floor is empty. And a public bathroom at night stops feeling like a place you use and starts feeling like a place where something is waiting for you to be alone. BATHROOM BREAK is a short horror film about the quiet dread of being by yourself in a place that is supposed to be ordinary. No crowd. No noise. Just you, the flicker of bad fluorescent light, and the growing certainty that you are not as alone as you think. This is horror built on the small, real fears we all carry: the empty stall, the sound with no source, the feeling of eyes on the back of your neck when you know there should be no one there. There is a specific kind of terror in an empty public bathroom late at night. The mirrors. The silence between the dripping. The stall door you did not hear open. This film lives inside that feeling and does not let go. Turn the lights off. Put your headphones on. Watch it alone. Written, produced, directed, edited, and sound designed by Renee Costa. If you made it to the end, you know why you should not have watched this alone. Subscribe to The Noctuary for more short horror films, scary stories, and the things that wait in the dark.
