Description

"Be still" was never a command to sit quietly with a racing heart. This morning prayer opens Psalm 46 to show why "be still" really means let go, and what happens the moment you finally do. ► LIKE! 👍 ► COMMENT! 💬 ► SHARE! ➤ ► SUBSCRIBE! 👉 https://www.youtube.com/@DailyJesusPrayers?sub_confirmation=1 ► TURN ON THE NOTIFICATION BELL! 🔔 If you are led to support our ministry, you may do so here: ► DONATIONS 👉 https://www.buymeacoffee.com/dailyjesusdevotional We appreciate your support! Every lifeguard learns one lesson before they ever enter the water: a drowning person will fight the one who comes to save them. So rescuers are trained to wait, because the rescue only begins when the drowning person goes limp. Many of us are drowning in worry and exhaustion, and God has already reached us. We just keep fighting, keep gripping, keep trying to save ourselves. This morning devotional walks through three truths: letting go is how you let God fight, the way Hannah's face changed before her answer came (Psalm 46:1 • 1 Samuel 1:18 • Exodus 14:14); the part most of us skip, "and know that I am God," and why Jacob only knew God when he could no longer fight Him (Isaiah 30:15 • Genesis 32:24-28 • Psalm 46:7); and the promise in the second half of Psalm 46:10 that most people never read, and why Martha missed the Savior in her own living room (Psalm 46:10 • Luke 10:41-42 • Isaiah 26:3). You will also hear the Hebrew word behind "be still" that most of us were taught wrong. Stay to the end for a blessed prayer over the thing you cannot fix, your family, your finances, your healing and your breakthrough, in the mighty name of Jesus. This is a prayer of faith offered as spiritual encouragement. If you are struggling with your mental health, please also speak to your doctor or a professional you trust. Prayer and care belong together. 🙏 If this prayer blessed you, comment "AMEN" and share it with someone who has been holding on too tightly for too long. 🔔 Subscribe and turn on notifications so you never miss a morning prayer. ⏱️ CHAPTERS: 0:00 The Lifeguard Who Waits Until You Stop Fighting 0:37 Be Still, and Know That I Am God — The Words We Were Taught Wrong (Psalm 46:10) 1:04 What Be Still Really Means — The Hebrew Word Rapha 1:34 God Is Asking You to Release What You Grip 2:23 Truth 1 — Letting Go Is How You Let God Fight (Psalm 46:1) 3:10 Hannah Wept Until She Could Not Eat (1 Samuel 1) 3:53 Her Face Was No Longer Sad — Peace Before the Answer (1 Samuel 1:18) 4:27 The Lord Will Fight for You, and You Shall Hold Your Peace (Exodus 14:14) 5:01 Letting Go Is Not Giving Up 5:41 Truth 2 — And Know That I Am God: The Part Most of Us Skip 5:59 In Returning and Rest You Shall Be Saved (Isaiah 30:15) 6:35 But You Would Not — Why God's People Refused Rest 6:51 Jacob Wrestled Until the Breaking of Day (Genesis 32:24-25) 7:24 I Will Not Let You Go Unless You Bless Me (Genesis 32:26) 8:01 The God of Jacob Is Our Refuge, Selah (Psalm 46:7) 8:22 Your Exhaustion Is the Touch on the Hip 9:13 Truth 3 — I Will Be Exalted: The Promise Most People Never Read (Psalm 46:10) 9:37 Why Letting Go Feels Like Failing 9:55 Martha and Mary — Busy for God, Still Fighting God (Luke 10:38-42) 10:53 Mary Chose the Good Part That Cannot Be Taken Away (Luke 10:42) 11:11 Perfect Peace for the Mind Stayed on Him (Isaiah 26:3) 11:53 What Are You Still Holding?
