Description

Most people know about the angels of Badr, but very few know what one of the Sahaba saw on the day of Uhud. On the day the believers were tested, when the lines were scattered by the decree of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم was wounded, سعد بن أبي وقاص رضي الله عنه saw two men dressed in white on the right and on the left of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, fighting as fiercely as any fighting could be. He had never seen them before and never saw them again. An authentic narration in Sahih Muslim names them: جبريل and ميكائيل عليهما السلام. In this video, we tell the story of Uhud only from the Qur'an and the authentic Sunnah: the command to the fifty archers, the victory that came first, the trial that followed, the men who stood around the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم, and the two men in white. 📖 QUR'AN REFERENCES Surah Al-Anfal 8:9 (the promise of angels at Badr) Surah Aal 'Imran 3:125 (the promised reinforcement; the scholars differed over whether it refers to Badr or Uhud) Surah Aal 'Imran 3:128 (revealed when the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم was wounded) Surah Aal 'Imran 3:155 (Allah's forgiveness for the believers at Uhud) 📜 HADITH REFERENCES Sahih al-Bukhari 3039, 4043, 4044 (the archers, the battle and its aftermath, narrated by البراء بن عازب رضي الله عنه) Sahih Muslim 1791 (the Prophet's wounds at Uhud) Sahih al-Bukhari 4069 (another occasion linked to 3:128) Sahih al-Bukhari 4055, 4059 (the Prophet's words to سعد رضي الله عنه) Sahih al-Bukhari 4063 (the hand of طلحة رضي الله عنه) Sahih al-Bukhari 5826 (the two men in white) Sahih Muslim 2306 (the two men in white, identified as جبريل and ميكائيل عليهما السلام) 📚 SCHOLARLY EXPLANATION Tafsir Ibn Kathir on Surah Aal 'Imran 3:124–125 (quran.com) Dorar commentary on Sahih Muslim 2306 (dorar.net) ⚠️ A NOTE ON SOURCES Some channels tell a version of this story in which جبريل عليه السلام calls out "لا سيف إلا ذو الفقار" at Uhud. We did not include it: the scholars judged this narration fabricated, and it is not established in the authentic Sunnah. All hadith were verified on sunnah.com and dorar.net, and all verses on quran.com. And Allah سبحانه وتعالى knows best. 🔔 Subscribe to Iman Aldeen TV for Islamic stories told only from authentic sources. #BattleOfUhud #IslamicHistory #Seerah #Angels #Sahaba #IslamicStories
