Description

There is nothing in your house that can stop a prayer. I want to say that first, because I know why some of you clicked, and I am going to disappoint you in the first minute so the rest is honest. If you came here to find out which object to throw out, which mirror, which statue, which thing your aunt gave you that gives you a bad feeling, I do not have that video for you. Not one thing in this list is cursed. Not one of them is a demon. They are ordinary things sitting in the wrong seat. This is about a different wound. You pray, and it feels like the ceiling. You have prayed for the same thing so long you can say it without hearing yourself. And underneath the good Christian sentences about God's timing there is a smaller, colder question you do not say out loud: is something blocking it? Mija, the Bible actually answers that question. Not with superstition. With verses. There are a handful of places in Scripture that say, in plain words, that a prayer can be hindered, and every single one of them points at a habit, not an object. And habits live in houses. In rooms, in drawers, on tables, on the other side of a bed. In this episode of The Mexican Mother's Bible, Bertha walks through your house again, seven ordinary things, and puts next to each one the verse that names what is really going on there: • The bed with two blankets on it. The only place in the whole Bible where a household relationship is named, in so many words, as something that hinders prayer: "so that nothing will hinder your prayers." (1 Peter 3:7) • The name you scroll past in your phone. "When you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them." (Mark 11:25) He puts the grudge and the prayer in the same sentence because in His mind they are in the same room. • The drawer. The hardest verse in the video, said plainly: "If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened." (Psalm 66:18) Cherished. Not committed. Cherished. And the mercy in it: the drawer does not have to be empty for you to open it. It has to be open. (1 John 1:9) • The cart left open on the tablet. "You ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures." (James 4:3) A prayer to the cart, with God as the delivery man. He does not take that job. • The front door you do not answer. The verse almost nobody preaches: "Whoever shuts their ears to the cry of the poor will also cry out and not be answered." (Proverbs 21:13) • The little notebook where you keep the accounts. "God opposes the proud." (James 4:6) A pride that does not look like pride. It looks like competence. And the prayer of a woman who has already handled it is not a prayer. It is a briefing. • The table with the plates carried to other rooms. "With thanksgiving." (Philippians 4:6) "Where two or three gather." (Matthew 18:20) When the plates go to four rooms, that promise has nowhere left to land. And she holds back the thing that she believes is actually blocking most of the prayers in most of the houses watching. It is not on the list of seven, and it is not what you are bracing for. Stay to the finish. "Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up." (Luke 18:1) 💛 A gentle word: not one of those seven is an object that blocks a prayer. Every one is the place in your house where a habit lives. There is nothing in your house that can stand between you and God. There are only places in your house where you have been standing between you and God. And the widow in Luke 18 did not get her answer because she was holy, mija. She got it because she came back. I am not a pastor. I have no letters after my name and no pulpit to stand behind. I am a mother with a worn Bible, passing down what was passed down to me. Everything here, go and read for yourself. Do not take my word for it. Take His. If one of the seven pinched, please LIKE and SUBSCRIBE so it reaches another house where the ceiling has felt low. God bless you, mija. 📖 Tell me in the comments which of the seven was yours. And tell me the one I actually want to know: what is the prayer you STOPPED praying? You do not have to say the details. Say "my son," or "my marriage," or "the same thing for nine years." And if you started again tonight, come back and tell me. Tell me your county too. I read every one. #TheMexicanMothersBible #UnansweredPrayer #BibleStudy #1Peter37 #Mark1125 #Psalm6618 #James43 #Luke18 #Christianity #Faith #GodsWord #Scripture #MexicanMother #PrayerLife #CloserToGod
