Description

Why did a Prophet of Allah سبحانه وتعالى strike the Angel of Death عليه السلام — and why was that same angel then sent back to him carrying an offer of years without number? This is the complete, authentic story of the final day of Musa عليه السلام: the visitor who came with two words, the eye that was restored, the ox and the hairs beneath a hand, the grave beside the road near the red sandhill, the night the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم passed that same place, and the moment on the Day of Resurrection when Musa عليه السلام will be found holding the side of the Throne. Everything here is built on the Qur'an and on narrations recorded in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. Where a detail comes only from a report outside the two Sahihs, we say so clearly inside the video, and we add nothing to what the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم actually said. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHAT YOU WILL LEARN ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • Who the Angel of Death عليه السلام is as the Qur'an describes him, and why that verse ends with our return to our Lord. • How angels came to Ibrahim عليه السلام as guests, and why he did not know them at first — the key to everything that follows. • What the narration actually says about the strike, and what it does NOT say — and why the angel's own words to his Lord are a proof of the honour of Musa عليه السلام. • The offer of a year for every hair, the one question Musa عليه السلام asked before answering, and the answer that changes the whole meaning. • His final request: to be brought within a stone's throw of the Holy Land — and why Imam al-Bukhari رحمه الله placed this narration under a chapter on being buried there. • The night the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم passed the red sandhill on the Night Journey and found Musa عليه السلام standing in prayer in his grave. • The meeting in the sixth heaven, and how the scholars explained the weeping of Musa عليه السلام — it was never envy. • How the five daily prayers reached this Ummah, and the advice Musa عليه السلام kept repeating that night. • What Aishah رضي الله عنها reported about every Prophet being given the choice — the key that unlocks the whole story. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ SOURCES & REFERENCES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FROM THE QUR'AN • Surah Al-A'raf 7:143 — the appointed meeting at the mountain • Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:26 — the forty years of wandering • Surah As-Sajdah 32:11 — the Angel of Death عليه السلام entrusted with our souls • Surah Hud 11:70 — the guests of Ibrahim عليه السلام who did not reach for the food FROM THE AUTHENTIC SUNNAH • Sahih al-Bukhari 1339 — Book of Funerals, chapter on the one who loved to be buried in the Holy Land (Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه) • Sahih al-Bukhari 3407 — Book of the Prophets, the death of Musa عليه السلام • Sahih Muslim 2372a and 2372b — Book of Virtues, including the wording "answer your Lord" • Sahih Muslim 2375a — Musa عليه السلام at the red sandhill, praying in his grave; also Sunan an-Nasa'i 1631 • Sahih al-Bukhari 3887 — chapter on the Ascension: the sixth heaven, the greeting, the weeping, the prayers • Sahih Muslim 162 and 163 — the Night Journey and the prayers: they are five and they are fifty • Sahih al-Bukhari 4437, 4463, 6348 — Aishah رضي الله عنها: no Prophet is taken until he is shown his place in Paradise and then given the choice • Sahih al-Bukhari 2411, 3408, 6517 — the Day of Resurrection and the side of the Throne THE LONGER NARRATION The extra wording — that the Angel of Death عليه السلام used to come to people visibly, that he said were it not for this servant's honour with You I would have been hard on him, and that afterwards he came to people unseen — is recorded in Musnad Ahmad from Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه, and in Al-Mustadrak of Al-Hakim. Its chain was graded authentic by Al-Albani رحمه الله, though some hadith scholars discussed this particular wording. It is not part of the two Sahihs, and the video presents it as exactly that. And Allah سبحانه وتعالى knows best. May Allah سبحانه وتعالى grant us a good ending and gather us with His Prophets عليهم السلام and with our beloved Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم. Ameen.
