Police say early interviews show he was thrown from the coaster and struck other riders; four riders, all minors, were hurt. Goliath holds each rider with one clamshell lap bar, with no seat belt and nothing over the shoulders. We rebuilt the ride and its restraint in 3D to show how the bar is built to lock and the three ways a rider could come out of it. 00:00 Lap bars should never open 02:02 The last run 05:19 The seat, and three ways out 09:03 The hour after 11:01 What will answer it 12:52 He was the sunshine of our family What's known and not known (as of 15 Oct 2026): no official has said why he came out of his seat. Investigators are looking at the lap bars, the locks, the sensors and the maintenance records; none of it has been released, nor has his cause of death. Police have not said which car or seat he was in. The three "ways out" are possibilities, not findings about Goliath. The lock shown is the one in Bolliger & Mabillard's 1999 patent for this kind of lap bar; nothing public says Goliath's hardware matches it in detail. Six Flags Over Georgia was set to reopen Friday 16 Oct with Goliath still closed and no reopening date for it; a dozen coasters across North America were shut. Every 3D scene is a reconstruction (an illustration of what the record describes, not footage); his seat, his exit point and any impact are not shown because they are not known.
