Description

She found a label maker. This was a mistake. LABEL IT! is a quirky electro-funk and nu-disco song about the extraordinary satisfaction of putting the correct label on absolutely everything. Cables. Drawers. Tools. Machines. Mugs. People who probably did not ask to be labelled. Hannah has discovered an ancient electronic label maker, and it may be the greatest piece of technology she has ever encountered. Every button gives a satisfying little beep. Every command works. Every label comes out perfectly. Naturally, this means the machine must be trying to tell her something. LABEL EVERYTHING. What begins as organisation rapidly becomes a full-scale mission. If an object has a name, it needs a label. If it already has a label, perhaps it needs a better one. If everyone can already see what it is, that is no reason to abandon proper procedure. LABEL IT! is built around funky Hammond organ, bubbly vintage synthesizers, electronic dance grooves, cheerful machine beeps, playful female vocals and an increasingly unstoppable obsession with order. It is a song for people who love: organisation, label makers, perfectly sorted drawers, satisfying little machines, office supplies, electronics, gadgets, retro technology, funky synthesizers, and knowing exactly where everything belongs. And then there is the Warhammer part. Hannah is an Adeptus Mechanicus Tech-Priestess in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. To her, the label maker is not merely useful technology. Its machine spirit is friendly. It obeys every command. It produces sacred little beeps. Clearly, the Omnissiah approves. Soon cables, cogitators, servo-skulls, servitors, fellow Tech-Priests and passing Space Marines are all receiving proper identification. The crew thinks the Label Priestess may have gone too far. The Label Priestess disagrees. Can one truly be too organised? The machine spirit certainly does not think so. For fans of electro-funk, nu-disco, quirky electronic music, funny songs, organisation humour, satisfying technology, retro electronics, Adeptus Mechanicus, Tech-Priests and Warhammer 40K.
