Description

150 soldiers went underground. Seven days later, the ammunition is almost gone. Hatman is a dark chain-gang work-song blues about a commander and his exhausted men trapped far below ground, holding one narrow corridor against an enemy that keeps coming. The maps were wrong. The route behind them had collapsed years ago. They built two barricades. The first one fell. The second is still standing. For seven days they have fought there. Now the food is running out. The ammunition is almost gone. The wounded are piling up. And across the barricade, the enemy is mounting a heavy gun. If they finish setting it up, everyone in the tunnel dies. The commander knows this. He also knows there is only one way to buy his men more time. Go over the barricade. Run straight at the gun. And hope somebody behind him gets to live because he did. HATMAN is a grim, rhythmic blues story about men at the end of their strength, loyalty under impossible circumstances, and the strange moment when someone chooses to keep going even after the sensible options have disappeared. A song for listeners who enjoy work songs, dark blues, military songs, narrative music, last-stand stories, doomed heroes, trench and siege atmosphere, and character-driven storytelling. The story takes place in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The commander is Commissar Carl Dunkerf of the Imperial Guard. He led 150 men into Hive Trappas Nettaiv while investigating signs of corruption in the underhive. Sixteen levels down, they were ambushed by Nurgle cultists and driven into a dead corridor where the old maps no longer matched reality. Among the survivors are Ogryns — enormous Imperial soldiers whose loyalty can be considerably more straightforward than the politics of the Imperium around them. Carl does not expect rescue. He does not expect to win. He just needs the gun not to fire yet. Sometimes a few more minutes are enough. For fans of dark blues, chain-gang and work-song rhythms, military storytelling, final-stand songs, Imperial Guard, Astra Militarum, Commissars, Ogryns and Warhammer 40K. #WorkSong #DarkBlues #Warhammer40K Fan-made Warhammer 40K inspired music.
