Description
Can MiniOS Really Save Old PCs?
Can MiniOS actually bring an old PC back to life, or is it just another lightweight Linux distro that barely uses any RAM?
MiniOS is a Debian-based Linux distribution designed to be lightweight, simple, and surprisingly flexible. With editions like MiniOS Flux 32-bit and MiniOS Flux 64-bit, it promises to make aging computers useful again, even those with seriously outdated hardware.
But how well does MiniOS actually perform in the real world?
In this video, I'm putting MiniOS to the test on two old computers: a nearly 20-year-old Fujitsu laptop with a single-core AMD Sempron and 2GB of RAM, and a Dell OptiPlex XE running a Core 2 Duo E7400 with 4GB of RAM.
We'll start with MiniOS Flux 32-bit on the Fujitsu, then move to MiniOS Flux 64-bit on the Dell to see how much of a difference better hardware really makes.
From web browsing and YouTube playback to everyday applications and even some classic gaming, I wanted to find out whether MiniOS is genuinely useful or just impressively lightweight.
And yeah, there are a few surprises along the way.
So, can MiniOS really save old PCs? Let's find out!
Got an old computer collecting dust? Would you try MiniOS Flux 32-bit or Flux 64-bit on it? Let me know in the comments!
