Description

A discarded water bottle helped solve the 23-year-old murder of Leslie Preer. After DNA recovered from the 2001 crime scene failed to identify a suspect, investigators eventually turned to forensic genetic genealogy. The family-tree investigation led detectives back to Eugene Gligor, a man who had once dated Leslie's daughter. In 2024, investigators followed Gligor to Washington Dulles International Airport and retrieved a water bottle he threw into the trash. DNA developed from the bottle matched the unknown male DNA recovered from Leslie's crime scene. Gligor later pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 30 years, with 22 years to serve. #TrueCrime #ForensicGenealogy #LesliePreer #EugeneGligor #Shorts =================================================== Subscribe To Caught By Forensics https://bit.ly/3UNGA4g =================================================== Business Contact: [email protected]
