Every Layer Beneath a City Street Explained

What is actually hidden beneath a city street? Starting at the road surface, we descend layer by layer through traffic sensors, heated sidewalks, water and gas lines, electrical cables, storm drains, sewers, buried rivers, subway tunnels, power corridors, and enormous flood control systems. Not every street contains every system shown in this video. What lies underground varies depending on the city, its age, climate, geology, and engineering history. But together, these layers reveal the hidden city beneath the streets we use every day. This is the first time I’ve tried a different style like this.
