Description

The Complete Life of Kaji Kalu Pande | The Strategist Behind Gorkha's Rise | Gyankunda Kaji Kalu Pande:- born Vamshidhar Pande around 1770 B.S. in Gorkha, was one of the most important military and political figures of the first phase of Nepal's unification under King Prithvi Narayan Shah. He was nine years older than the king, and Prithvi Narayan himself is said to have admitted that Kalu understood the art of war better than he did. This is his full story: his birth into the ancient Pande Bharadar family of Gorkha, his rise as the king's most trusted Kaji, the three-column capture of Nuwakot (B.S. 1801), the bloody lesson of Belkot, his diplomacy with Lamjung, his fateful warning against the premature assault on Kirtipur, his death in that first Battle of Kirtipur (B.S. 1814 Jestha 19), and the memorial at Dahachok where, tradition says, he was laid to rest facing his beloved Gorkha. Throughout, this video carefully separates documented history from popular tradition (जनश्रुति / परम्परा / किंवदन्ती), including the legends of the severed head, the Bagh Bhairav trophy weapons, and the famous "bury me facing Gorkha" last wish, so you get the real, evidence-based portrait, not the myth dressed as fact. मुख्य स्रोतहरू / KEY SOURCES (for verification):- • Baburam Acharya — studies of Prithvi Narayan Shah and his correspondence • Ludwig F. Stiller, S.J. — "The Rise of the House of Gorkha" • D.R. Where the historical record is uncertain or disputed, we have clearly labelled traditional accounts and legends as such. Any respectful correction with a credible source is welcome in the comments. #kalupande #battleofkirtipur #prithvinarayanshah #nepalhistory #gyankunda
