ZEB Horizon Scanned Sahure’s Pyramid— EIGHT Secret Rooms FOUND

A blocked passage inside Sahure’s Pyramid led to rooms missing from later plans. With excavation, restoration and ZEB Horizon LiDAR mapping, researchers documented an interior that was more complex than those plans suggested. Inside the roughly 4,400-year-old pyramid at Abusir, Egypt, an Egyptian–German mission led by Dr. Mohamed Ismail Khaled investigated a rubble-filled route first recorded by John Perring in 1836. What lay beyond it would change the documented layout of the pyramid. This documentary follows the passage, the discovery of eight storerooms, and the evidence that helped researchers reconstruct the lost arrangement of corridors and chambers.
