Description

Sixty-five dollars a year for the basic card. A hundred and thirty for the executive one. And before anything else: Costco has no senior discount. Not on the membership, not on the groceries, not at any age. I am saying that first because it is the reason most people my age clicked on this. What does exist is a set of counters almost nobody stands at. The markup on everything in that building is thin on purpose, the fee at the door is the business, and that means they can afford to hand a great deal away inside as long as nobody asks. Twelve things, counting down. For each one: what it actually is, roughly what it saves you, and the exact sentence to say at the counter. An honest warning I put in the middle of the video rather than hiding it: eight of these twelve only work if you already bought the thing at Costco. The tires, the television, the appliance, the hearing aids. Four of them ask nothing of you first, and two of those work with no membership at all. Number four is already in your wallet and most people have never claimed it. Number three does not check your card. And number one is the thing nobody in that building will say out loud to a woman my age. I am Mrs. Doris. Thirty-five years of ordering supply for a school kitchen in Scioto County, Ohio, and I am past sixty myself now. BEFORE YOU DRIVE ANYWHERE: store policies change, and some of this varies by state. The pharmacy rule in particular is state law, not company policy, so ring your nearest warehouse before you make the trip. Everything here was checked in September 2026. My book, The Lunch Lady's $3,600-a-Year Grocery Cut, is at dorislunchlady.com Tell me below which of these you already knew, and where I have got it wrong for your own state. These rules do move. #costco #seniordiscounts #over60 #frugalliving #mrsdoris
