What If Everyone Got an Equal Amount of Food?

What does The Platform 2 really say about human nature? In this video essay, we dive deep into The Platform 2, exploring its disturbing vision of society, power, inequality, religion, violence, and the darker side of human nature. Beneath its brutal setting and shocking imagery, the movie raises a much bigger question: Can any system actually change human behavior, or will people always find a way to gain power over others? Through the world of the Vertical Self-Management Center, The Platform 2 presents a society built around scarcity, hierarchy, and control. But as we look deeper, the movie becomes more than just a story about food and survival. It becomes an exploration of how humans behave when they are given power — and what happens when that power is taken away. We'll explore the movie's themes, symbolism, religious imagery, social commentary, philosophy, and ending, while examining what The Platform 2 might be trying to tell us about civilization itself.
