Description
Dinosaurs did not completely disappear 66 million years ago.
One branch survived.
Over tens of millions of years, evolution transformed small theropod dinosaurs into the birds we see today — shrinking their bodies, changing their skeletons, reshaping feathers, losing teeth, and eventually producing thousands of species that now live on every continent.
In this video, we explore what evolution actually did to dinosaurs.
We follow the 50-million-year miniaturization of the dinosaur lineage that led to birds, the discovery of feathered dinosaurs like Sinosauropteryx and Yutyrannus, strange experiments like Microraptor and Yi qi, and the extinction event that wiped out most dinosaur lineages while a small group of bird ancestors survived.
The asteroid did not simply end the dinosaur story.
It filtered it.
And the dinosaurs that made it through became something completely different.
Today, nearly 11,000 species of birds are alive — and biologically, they are still dinosaurs.

This is not the story of dinosaurs disappearing.
