Description

In 1963 the fastest car over five hundred miles did not win the Indianapolis 500. Parnelli Jones was leaking oil in the closing laps, two drivers spun in it, and the rulebook said the black flag comes out. It stayed on the ground. In this video I dig into what really happened that afternoon, why Colin Chapman demanded the flag, why Jim Clark refused to protest, and how a little green car with the engine in the wrong end made the whole argument irrelevant two years later. Were you at the Speedway in sixty three, or listening on the radio? Tell me in the comments. I go through every single one.
