What Most Likely Happened to the Girl Who Vanished in Front of 1,500 People

August 24, 1951. A summer evening, a crowded park, a show for the neighborhood kids. Ten-year-old Beverly Potts was 500 feet from home when she vanished — in front of more than a thousand people. She was shy. Cautious around strangers. The kind of child who ran home if she thought someone was following her. So how does a girl like that disappear from a crowd without a single scream, a single witness, a single trace? For fifty years, Cleveland had no answer. Then a letter arrived at a newspaper — and the writer made a promise. We break down the disappearance, the suspects, and what most likely happened to Beverly Potts.
